He is survived by: his parents, Charles Mellers and Doris Mellers; his sister Marcia; his daughter Enia; his wife Karen; his children, Charlene and Christopher; his stepsons, Dwayne, Sekou, Tyrone and Trent; his foster daughter Pinky; his siblings, Beverly, Elaine, Courtney, Charles, Maxine, Audley and Leroy; his uncle Teddy; his nieces and nephews, Warren, Brianna, Crystal, Jaysa, Aaron, Kimberly, Samantha, Jamila, Kimani, Carey (Lisa), Tiesha, Jesse, John Jr., Sean, Philip, Shana, Jermaine, Robyn, Jerome, Trimaine, Althea, Patrick, Tony and Alpin (Junior); his cousins, Colin, Karen, Fiona, Headley Hinds, Carol and Frederick Scarlett; and his friend Donald Roberts.

He served as the chairperson of the property committee, was a member of the Finance Committee, chair of the St. John's Childcare, a regular volunteer every Tuesday evening at the Community Suppers, instrumental in setting up the audio-visual system at St. John's when the pandemic hit.
