He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Thomas and Margaret Madigan Dean; and his son Edward Dean. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his daughters, Mary Dean (George Grom) and Deborah Dean; his grandchildren, Edward, Jake, Samantha Grom, John Dean and Gabrielle Rodia; and his siblings, William Dean and Gayle Martone.
