Bernadette Schirillo Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernadette Schirillo of Stratford, Connecticut, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Bernadette departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Bernadette. Though Bernadette may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard D. Schirillo Sr.; her parents, John McGuire and Susan McGuire (Clarke); her children, Irene D. Schirillo and Richard D. Schirillo Jr.; and her siblings, Agnes Taft and William McGuire.
She is survived by: her grandson Christopher Philibert; her grandchild-in-law Lizzy Valentin; and her sisters, Cecilia Matyasovsky (Wayne) and Margaret Potkay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William R. McDonald Funeral Home (2591 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Saint Michael Cemetery (2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT 06615).
