Evelyn Matsas Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2018, at the age of 88, Evelyn Matsas (Storrs, Connecticut), born in Naugatuck, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Peter Lakis. She is survived by: her parent Georgia Lakis; her husbands, Peter Picnic and Peter Matsas; her children, David Matsas (Toomey) of Woodstock, CT, Peter Mark Matsas of East Hartford, CT and Sharon Loree (Charles) of Mansfield; her grandchildren, Bridget Matsas, Hannah Matsas and Dane Loree (Erica); her great grandchildren, Olivia Loree and Parker Loree; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Matsas and Carol Matsas; and also Greek Picnic. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 247 Washington St., Norwich, CT 06360 where she was an active member for 45 years.
