“Dorthea has been a most treasured influence in my life. Was a student of hers in the 80's. Inspired me to study dance at Sarah Lawrence for a few semesters and to take up liturgical dance for 8 years as an adult. I love Dorthea very much. Over the years I remember my classes with her most fondly. Cecilia was in my class, as was a young woman named Donna. We performed outside of the studio several times. Dorthea shaped my spirit.
