Donald Rowe Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Rowe of Storrs, Connecticut, born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 10, 2021 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Rowe to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Minott Rowe and Arlene Rowe; and his brother Richmond Rowe. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Bradford Reynolds (Ginny); his daughter Donna Rowe-Korn (Bob Korn) of Orleans, MA; his grandchildren, Tyler, Palmer and Cindy Rowe Pelletier (Rich Pelletier) of Bolton, MA; his great grandchildren, Jesse (Peri) and Justin; his granddaughter Karen Rowe (Jon Heyman) of Northampton, MA; his great grandchildren, Jacob and Leah; his granddaughter Lisa Shafto (Dennis Shafto) of Chapel Hill, NC; his great grandchild Chris (Hilary); his nieces and nephews, Cam Hardy, Andrea Reynolds, Brad Reynolds, Dean Rowe and Brad Rowe; and also, Kensey, Ashton (Brent), Hudson, Don Rowe (Gail Rowe) of Marblehead, MA, George, Brendan, Dillon, Grace, Julie Rowe of Sterling, MA, Aidan, Cormac, Jennifer Havlicek (Desmond Havlicek) of Cohasset, MA, Declan, Cass and Quinn. He is also survived by seven children, 17 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
For the next 13 years, he became a national leader as a collegiate athletics fundraiser and generated millions of dollars for UConn athletics, including donations to support the building of the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion/Sports Center Complex.
