He was predeceased by : his parents, Shaobo Chen and Suhua Chen (Feng); and his sister Dezhen Chen. He is survived by : his daughter Xinnian Chen (Daniel Mulkey) of Storrs; and his brother Deqing Chen of China. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
