William D. Martley Obituary
In loving memory of William D. Martley of Stonington, Connecticut, who departed this world on February 5, 2025 at the age of 87. William leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Martley and Katherine Martley (Inderdohnen). He is survived by: his wife Jane Martley (Burdick) of Stonington, CT.; his children, William D. Martley Jr. (Jennifer) of Mystic, Marie Patterson (Erik) of Arizona and Jen Martley (Sue Carpenter) of Mystic; his grandchildren, Ian Patterson, Neil, Taylor Patterson, Jason Patterson, Liam Martley, Guthrie and Perry Belfiglio; and his sisters-in-law, Catherine Holdridge (James), Marie Magee and Dorothy Burdick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mystic Funeral Home (51 Williams Ave, Mystic, CT 06355). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Church (22 Broad St, Stonington, CT 06378).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, 27 Chase St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379.
