He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland L. and Doris Atkins (Morgan); and his niece Kim Labonte. He is survived by: his sister Jan M. Smith; his brother-in-law Jesse Smith of Stonington; his siblings, Roberta Holt of Plainfield and Robert Atkins; his sister-in-law Gloria Atkins of Stonington; and his friends, Jim Brennan and Mike Stewart. He is also survived by 6 nieces, 4 nephews and one special great great niece.
