With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard J. LaHaie of Sterling, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Vera LaHaie (Granito); and his grandsons, Jonathan and Dominick Smith. He is survived by: his wife Doris LaHaie (Ritchotte); his father Leo LaHaie, Sr.; his daughters, Sherri Hirschboeck (Mark) and Kimberly Smith (Jeffrey); his granddaughters, Bailey Hirschboeck and Faith Smith; and his sister Jacqueline Pierson.
