He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Dettmer and Emma Giesen Dettmer. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Lichtenberger Dettmer, Dr. Rob Dettmer (Jaimee) of Stamford and Renee Mellas (Greg) of New Canaan; his sister Debbie Dettmer of Boca Raton, FL; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke, Sydney, Kate and Scott.
