She is survived by: her husband James Benakis; her children, Elaine Vlahakis (Dennis) of Stamford and George Benakis (Erasmia) of Manhattan, NY; her sister Sophia Mavroudis of Manchester, CT; her cousin Anthony Vlahides of Sarasota, FL.; her grandchildren, Charles Vlahakis (Bridget), Georgia Adelson (Alan), Evangelina, Juliana and James Benakis; and her great grandchild Aristotle Vlahakis.
