He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolf Meissner and Gertrude Meissner (Wende); his siblings, Heinz, Hans Meissner and Erika Groth (Meissner); and his wife Erika.
He is survived by: his daughter Irene Romaniello (Rocco) of Stratford; his grandchildren, Nicole Erica Winn (Andrew) and Daniel Rocco Romaniello (Stephanie); his nieces and nephews, Linda, Elizabeth, Eric and Robert Groth; and his friends, John, Susan Gilronan and William Kuba.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home (2611 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 7:15 PM at the Stratford VFW (100 Veterans Blvd, Stratford, CT 06615).
