He is survived by: his parent Maria Santagata (Marenna); his wife MaryJane Gerrity Santagata; his children, Mark Santagata (Susan), Peter Santagata, MaryJane Lacerenza (Donald) and Michael Santagata (Elyse); his sibling Grace Barbiero of Hamden; and his grandchildren, Christopher Lacerenza, Kelly Santagata, Michael Lacerenza, Matthew Santagata, Lucas Santagata and Alex Santagata. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many dedicated friends.
