She was predeceased by : her grandparents, Giuseppe, Maria Caterina and Francesco. She is survived by : her parents, Antonio Pagano and Michelina Pagano; her husband Ilario; her children, Bria and Giovanni; her brother Giuseppe; her grandmother Michelina; her parents-in-law, Michelina and Joe; her siblings-in-law, Michael, Beth Anne and Michelle; her nephews, Luca and Matteo; and also Zia Maria Vartuli.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory (104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford, CT 06902). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Church of Saint Cecilia (1184 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT 06905). A burial was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at the Queen of Peace Cemetery (124 Rock Rimmon Rd, Stamford, CT 06903).

Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Maria Catena.
