He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mattioli and Anna Damato Mattioli; his son John Mattioli, Jr.; his grandson James Radley Mattioli; and his siblings, Anthony, Harry Mattioli, Anna Lambiase, Marie Mattioli and Beatrice Rispoli.

He is survived by: his wife Angelina "Lee" Mattioli (Lillo) of Stamford; his children, Lynn (Mark Forrest) of Stamford, Susan (Ray Higgins) of Mahopac, NY and Mark Mattioli (Cindy) of Newtown, CT; his daughter-in-law Laurie Mattioli of Woburn, MA.; his siblings, Dorothea Martino, Diane Portigiano and Joseph Mattioli of Stamford; his grandchildren, Lexi, Dana, Chelsea Forrest, Angelina, Juliana, Sophia Higgins, John Mattioli III and Anna Mattioli; and his great grandchild Stryker Forrest. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
