John Gawlak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Gawlak of Stamford, Connecticut, born in Middletown, Connecticut, who passed away on June 6, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gawlak and Mary Kurc Gawlak; and his siblings, Walter, Joseph, Peter, Paul, Stanley, Anne Schultz of Middletown and Helen Smazer of Middletown.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Gawlak (Stanley); and his children, Peter J. Gawlak of New Milford, Thomas S. Gawlak of New Hampshire, Charles A. Gawlak of Stamford and Catharine G. Paradiso of New Milford. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great granddaughters.
In his retirement years, he assisted the Polish National Youth Baseball Foundation to develop Little League Baseball for boys, and softball for girls in Poland.
