He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Louis Grande; and his grandparents, Gaetano, Philomena "Mamie" Grande (Loglisci), Mike and Helen Interlandi (Nicolini).

He is survived by: his mother Clara Grande (Interlandi); his siblings, Melissa LoParco (Anthony), Guy-Michael Grande and Nicole Schmalzl (Thomas); and his nieces, Gianna and Isabella LoParco.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital.

“Dear Clara and Family, Sending you all my love and sympathy on the loss of your son and brother. I have known Joel for many, many years when he worked for the crystal gift shop on High Ridge Road. He was a wonderful help whenever I needed gifts for our conferences and nursing events. He knew inventory like no other in the store - always pleasant, always smiling and a joy to be around. We shared many laughs and recipes as he was a great cook as well. May he rest now in peace.”
