She was predeceased by: her parents, Aleksander Nowak and Marianna Piatkowska; her husband Leon Bakowski; her brothers, Zygmunt Nowak, Kazimierz Nowak, Ludwig Nowak, Antoni Nowak and Czeslaw Nowak; and her great grandchild Leon Joseph Bakowski.
She is survived by: her sons, Zygmunt Bakowski (Maria) and Ted (Ewa); her grandchildren, Mark Bakowski (Dana), Amy Friers (James), Kristina Colon (Mike) and Diana Stein (Alan); her great grandchildren, Christopher Bakowski, Cyrus Friers, Melania Bakowski, Andrew Friers, Sarah Friers, Catalina Colon, Noah Colon and Eli Stein; and her cousin Charlet Rose. She is also survived by nephew and niece.
