He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Mae Vogel (Koniar); his parents, Christopher Vogel and Louise Vogel (Joslin); and his daughter Shelly Vogel. He is survived by: his children, Randy Vogel (Nancy) of Florida and Linda Baker (Rick) of Stafford Springs, CT; his grandsons, Eric Vogel (Megan Davies) of Florida and Sean Vogel (Ashley) of Stafford Springs, CT; and his parents-in-law, Roseanne, Jerry Parizek, Mary Jane, Roland Labbe, Alice Sousa, Milan and Helen Koniar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
