We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2022, Richard F. Hartenstein of Stafford Springs, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer, Sr. Hartenstein and Roberta Hartenstein (Kaddy); and his siblings, Elmer Hartenstein, Jr. (Jean), Diana Hartenstein and Jane Slater (Ken).

He is survived by: his wife Lois Hartenstein (Hoyt); his children, Beth Gallison (Scott) and Richard F. Hartenstein, Jr. (Amy); his stepdaughters, Sonia Valdez (Julio) and Erika Wiecenski (Derrick); his grandchildren, Katie, Rachel, Sarah, Tiffany, Catalina, Alexandra, James, Jacob and Kyle; his sister Nancy Ravetto (Jim); and his brother-in-law Tom Muzio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
