She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Matthews; her parents, Bertrum Smalley and Myrtle Smalley (Strait); her son Charles M. "Chad" Matthews Jr.; and her brother Roger Smalley.
She is survived by: her children, Marci Worthington (Bruce) of Enfield, Christopher Matthews (Tamatha) of Stafford, Annie Hally-Matthews (Jennifer) of Wallingford and Corey Matthews (Belle) of Warner, NH; her grandchildren, Morgan, Tucker (Alyssa), Cooper, Tristan Worthington, Taylor Matthews, Benjamin Hally, Aubrey Ennis and Cameron Race; her great grandchildren, Tate Worthington, Emerson Willie and Waylon Worthington; and her close friends, Linda and Rich Krasinski.
