She was predeceased by: her spouse Francis "Jim" Vail; her parent Vern Hatt; her children, Keith Vail and Heidi Olesen; her great grandchild Brian John Murdock; and her sisters, Julia Fox, Marjorie Anderson and Elsie Stewart.

She is survived by: her parent Inez Hatt (Douglas); her children, Brian Vail (Cheryl) of Stafford Springs, Kevin Vail of Carson City, Mark Vail of Carson City and Kurt Vail of Stafford Springs; her son-in-law Ken Olesen of Las Vegas; her grandchildren, Keri Rollins (Les), Jeremy Vail, Kim Waskiewicz, Matthew Vail (Jennifer), Kelly Murdock (Steve), Kayla, Hannah, Noah, Sarah and Vivian Vail; her great grandchildren, Lauren, Zach, Austin, Jake, Maggie, Cole, Mackenzie, Addison and Abraham; and her siblings, Charles Hatt of East Brookfield and Beverly Christensen of Vernon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
