She was predeceased by: her spouse Robert F. Cartier; and her parent Walter Borchardt. She is survived by: her parent Erna Borchardt; her children, Dennis Cartier (Kristin) and Dawn Cartier; and her granddaughter Katrina Converse. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
