He was predeceased by: his parents, William Janiak and Alice Janiak (Wilson); his former wife Constance Janiak (Carroll); his grandson Stephen Janiak; and his siblings, Alice Works, Frances Raith, William Janiak, Nancy Arnold and Mildred Neff.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Janiak; his sons, Anton R. Janiak, Jr. of Stafford Springs, CT, James Janiak (Johnna) of Tolland, CT and John Janiak (Linda) of Naples, FL; his grandchildren, Brianna Glidden, Carissa Decelles, Jeffrey and John Janiak; his great grandchildren, Brody, Sarah, Dakota, Ann Marie and Gianna; and his brother Thomas Janiak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
