He is survived by: his wife Ginny (Delahunty); his children, Ryan Cayer (Meridith) of Middletown, CT and Maureen Hodge (Eric) of Watertown, MA; his grandchildren, Eamon, Charlie, Fiona and Calvin; and his siblings, Richard Cayer (Barbara) of Bisbee, AZ, David Cayer (Cindy) of Wolcott, Marguerite Maddalena (William Walsh), Edward Cayer (Lynn) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Suzanne Cayer of Southington, Paul Cayer of Bristol, Jeanne Budarz (Mark) of South Windsor, Douglas Cayer (Shane) of Southington and Jeffrey Cayer (Jennifer) of Lakeland, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
