He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice L. Cayer and Margaret M. Cayer (Mulligan). He is survived by: his wife Ginny (Delahunty); his children, Ryan Cayer (Meridith) of Middletown, CT and Maureen Hodge (Eric) of Watertown, MA; his grandchildren, Eamon, Charlie, Fiona and Calvin; and his siblings, Richard Cayer (Barbara) of Bisbee, AZ, David Cayer (Cindy) of Wolcott, Marguerite Maddalena (William Walsh), Edward Cayer (Lynn) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Suzanne Cayer of Southington, Paul Cayer of Bristol, Jeanne Budarz (Mark) of South Windsor, Douglas Cayer (Shane) of Southington and Jeffrey Cayer (Jennifer) of Lakeland, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Plantsville Funeral Home (975 S Main St, Plantsville, CT 06479). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Plantsville Congregational Church (109 Church St, Plantsville, CT 06479).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Whitney Marsh Foundation, to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research, education, and patient care to honor those affected by the disease (http://www.whitneysrace.org).
