He was predeceased by: his father Henry Thielman; and his siblings, Warren, Franklin, James Thielman and Marcella Frazier.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Politowski); his children, Joann (Ray Chicoski), Robert Thielman Jr. and Randy Thielman; his grandchildren, Jordan, Raymond and Connar Chicoski; and his siblings, Gene Thielman and Caroline "Midge" Frazier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
