With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Otley Kania (Southington, Connecticut), born in New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on August 27, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Anderson and Elizabeth Anderson (Carlson); her husband Andrew J. Kania; her son John "Jack" Kania; her siblings, Barton Anderson and Evelyn Wright; and her close friend Fred Johnson.

She is survived by: her son Edwin; her daughters-in-law, Gerri Kania of Southington and Deborah Kania (Greene); and her nieces and nephews, Lydia Holbrook, Faith Mueller, Holly Pytka, Peter Anderson and Dr. Thomas Wright.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Otley's memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or just a simple act of kindness to another person or pet during a time when kindness seems to have been lost.

I was the luckiest person to be in Otley’s life . I was her Godchild, niece and got to live right next store to such an amazing, loving person.
