Maria Castellano Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2020, at the age of 92, Maria Castellano of Southington, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandmother Marie; her parents, Pietro Cusano and Antonietta Cusano (Zoccolillo); her former husband Carmen Matteo; her children, Carmen Matteo (Christine) and Carol; her son-in-law James Tycz; her granddaughters, Lindsey (Brian Jardine), Katherine Tycz of Southington and Lauren Tycz (Daniel Remiszewski) of Shelton; her great grandchildren, Landon and Trevor Jardine of Southington; her sister Anna; her brother-in-law Mario (Italy); her brothers, Giuseppe "Joe" (Assunta) and Mario; her sisters-in-law, Lottie, Lauretta and Pasqualina; her brothers, Pasquale, Giovanni and Luigi (Italy); and her niece Joan Bomann of Farmington. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 1 PM in St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington with masks and social distancing protocols.
