He is survived by: his sibling Indianapolis Colts; his wife Karin (Swanson); his children, Kevin Thompson (Lisa) of Brea, Elaine Strohl (Matt) of Plymouth Meeting, Robert Morelli of Southington, Stephanie Pronovost (Justin) of Plainville, Joshua Morelli (Erin) of Bristol, Amanda, Matthew and John W. Thompson III of Southington; his grandchildren, Drew, Zachary, Lynnea, Jack, Sunne, Simon and Grant; his sister Cheryl Striewe (John) of Indianapolis; and his sister-in-law MaryAnn Thompson of Deland.
