He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Forster and Irene Forster (Detweiler); his brothers, William, Frank Jr. and Alfred; and his granddaughter Heather Forster.

He is survived by: his wife Karen (Janyce) of Southington; his children, Daniel Forster (Tina) of McClure, OH and Kimberly Thompson of Southington, CT.; his grandchildren, Lauran Forster (Dionté Darrington), Rebekka Welter (Frank), Julia Bois (Justin), Wes Thompson and Garrett Thompson; his nephew Christopher Forster (Heidi); and his niece Deborah Houman (Paul). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and numerous cousins.
