It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edward Demello Sr. of Southington, Connecticut, who passed away on March 20, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio DeMello and Mary DeMello (Yorski); and his brother Antone DeMello. He is survived by: his spouse Chong Chi "Jin" DeMello (Ok); his son John E. DeMello Jr. (Nicole) of Fairfax, VA; his siblings, Charles DeMello (Linda) of Maine, Joan Procko (John) of Plainville and Elizabeth Cardona of Plainville; and his sister-in-law Linda DeMello of Marion. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Walk through calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p. m. Masks and social distancing will be required at all times.

I was shocked to hear of John’s passing. He touched our lives just a few months ago, by obtaining the Purple Heart 💜 for my father, Francis Sabatella, a combat platoon sergeant, in the Korean War. It meant so much to my father and our family. Thank you for your service, and may God be with you.”
