It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Mongillo (Southington, Connecticut), born in Meriden, Connecticut, who passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Flora Cello (Vitale) and Louis Cello; her sister Lois Grimaldi; and her brother-in-law Donald Grimaldi. She is survived by: her husband George T. Mongillo; her sons, Steven (Frances) of Plantsville and Paul (Elizabeth) of Berlin; her grandchildren, Kristen, Rachel, Sarah, Jacob and Zachary; and her sister Carolyn Cello. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
COVID-19 may have taken the sparkle from her eyes and the smile from her face but her beautiful spirit will continue to live on.
