She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Harwood; her parents, Louis Ohliger and Gertrude Ohliger (Kroos); and her sons, Thomas, Kenneth and David.

She is survived by: her sons, Keith of Southington and Todd (Tammy) of Meriden; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth of Plantsville; her grandchildren, Brian (Maureen) of Tucson, AZ, Kevin Plantsville (Holly) and Brianna of Meriden; her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Evelyn, Colette of Tucson, Emmett of Plantsville and Freya of Meriden; and her brother Donald Ohliger (Caroline Bailey).
