It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene D. McCloskey of Southington, Connecticut, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James F. McCloskey Sr.; her parents, George Demellier and Kathleen Demellier (Forester); her sons, Patrick, Thomas and Michael McCloskey; and her siblings, Leo, Cletus, George DeMellier and Kathleen Andres.
She is survived by: her son James McCloskey (Mary) of Wolcott; her brother Thomas DeMellier (Judy); her grandchildren, Melanie Gaudiosi, James McCloskey II, Geoffrey McCloskey (Jill), Kelly Bacote (Brian), Jocelyn McCloskey, Michael McCloskey, Thomas McCloskey (Ashley) and Shawn McCloskey; and her niece Kathy. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
