The memory of Gerald T. Massarelli of Southington, Connecticut, who passed away on March 21, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Massarelli and Helena Massarelli (Giordano); and his siblings, Thomas Massarelli, Marie Rodgers and Frances Fruchtenicht.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Duclos of Southington, Jan Verderame (James) of Southington, Michael Massarelli of Southington and Anthony Massarelli of Southington; his grandchildren, Samantha Plourde, Joseph Duclos, Jessica Zita, Michael Zita, Lauren Forgione and Holly Massarelli; his great grandchildren, Ella, David, Jack Forgione and Colton Massarelli; and his sister Rae Rudzinski of Bristol. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home (211 N Main St, Southington, CT 06489). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Dominic Church (1050 Flanders Rd, Southington, CT 06489).
