He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ritchie and Ina Ritchie (Parker); his sister Diane Potter (Ritchie); his brother-in-law Bernard Potter; his nephew Keith Both; his aunt Harriet Christie (Parker); his uncle Stuart Christie; and his stepmother Lorna Ritchie.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Lydia Ritchie; his children, Deidre Benitez (Abe) of Southington, CT, Gary M. Ritchie Jr. (Kerri) of Highland Mills, NY and Alyce Orr (Bill) of Danbury, CT.; his grandchildren, Keith, Pepper, Alyssa, Kaela, Taylor, Kara, William, Andreah, Abigail and Harper; his great grandchildren, Madeline and Adeline; his sister Dixie (Joe Gilby) of Las Vegas, NV; and his children, Office of Development, Rocky Point, Tampa, National Caregiving Foundation, P. O. Box and Dunkirk, MD. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
