She was predeceased by: her husband Robert D. Groover; her parents, Millard Castle and Zora Castle (Moretz); her son-in-law Paul Rose; and her siblings, Benjamin, James, Robert "Claude", Arnold, Millard Jr., Frankie, Edith Cole, Lola Stanbery, Ruby Conley, Mable Brown, Shirley Metzger, Eva Govus, Violet Jankowski and Lela Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Loraine Rose, Valerie Ostrander (John) of Wolcott, Mitchell Groover (Kathy) of Terryville and Christopher Groover (Daniel Turcotte) of Tolland; her brother Alfred Castle; her grandchildren, Tom (Katie), Andrea (Brendan), Melissa (John), Andrew (Kelly) and Amy (Brendon); and her great grandchildren, Chandler, Shane, Reese, Mason, Benjamin, Eva, Brendon and Emily. She is also survived by four great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
