He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Luongo and Margherita Luongo (Didomenico); his wife Giovannina Luongo (Carusone); his grandson Anthony Palmieri; and his sister Marietta Luongo.

He is survived by: his children, Margaret Tatalovich (Alan) of Girard, OH, Virginia Pazillo (Rick) of Girard, OH, Patrick Luongo (Mary-Beth) of Southington, Angie Palmieri (Lew) of Southington and Tony Luongo of Southington; his grandchildren, Nicholas Tatalovich, Stefanie Ligon, Rachel, Dominic Luongo, Danielle Pazillo, Zakary, Lukas Palmieri and Domenic Luongo; his great grandchildren, Gabi and Bryce Ligon; and his siblings, Michelangelo Luongo and Ada Luongo of Italy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
