He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Hubeny and Sophie Hubeny (Gladke); his siblings, Anthony "Sonny" Hubeny Jr., Robert "Bobby" Hubeny and Elizabeth "Betty" Lagana; and his brothers-in-law, Salvatore Lagana, John Rinato, Walter Tomczak and Tracy Czarneski.

He is survived by: his wife Judy (Dobson); his children, Patrick Hubeny (Shannon) of Plantsville and Pamela Hubeny of Plantsville; his grandsons, Trent and Travis; his sisters, Jennie Rinato, Sophie Barry (Richard Paul) and Patricia Tomczak; and his sisters-in-law, Ida Hubeny of Southington and Nancy Hubeny of Southington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
