She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Ashworth and Florence Bell Ashworth (Heap); her husband William Hammick; her former husband Dudley Merriman; her brothers, Alfred and Cecil; her siblings-in-law, Claire, Eleanor and Leroy; and her son-in-law Phillip.
She is survived by: her daughter Violet Skrzyniarz of Cheshire; her grandchildren, Tara (John), Marleen (Paul), Holly, Todd (Danielle), Cory (Nicole) and Shawn; her great grandchildren, Christian, Hailey, Nichole, Addison, Ethan and Beckett; her sister Betty; and her stepchildren, Kenneth (Tanya), William (Joyce), Kim, Kathleen, Karen (Joe) and Brenda.
