She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Chopus and Phyllis Maclachlan Chopus; her brother Kenneth Chopus; and her niece Wendy Borkowski (Chopus). She is survived by: her brothers, Richard (Loretta Chopus) and Wayne R. (Susan Chopus).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's name to the Peggy Adam's Animal Rescue League of West Palm Beach.
