With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Sawitsky (Southbury, Connecticut), born in Brooklyn, Connecticut, who passed away on January 12, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Sophia (Backowski); his sister Christine West; his sister-in-law Linda; and his son-in-law Fred.
He is survived by: his children, Deanna (DiVincenzo), Janice (Doug), Christopher (Bridget), Mark (Colleen) and Jonathan (Sarah); his grandchildren, Michael, Peter, Andrew, Timmy, Charlie, Joe, Finn, Brendan, Ben, Brygid, Teddy, Ollie, Will and Nate; his siblings, Tommy and Ricia; and also, Barbara and Helen.
In spite of the additional challenges presented by COVID, they were unwavering in their commitment to Bobby's thorough, compassionate and tender care.
