He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mike and Mildred (Sanchione); his siblings, Louise LaChioma and Frank Mercaldi; his wife Jeanne (Colaluca); his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Mercaldi and Deanna Discenza (John); his children, Laura Shemancik (Ken) and Tony Mercaldi (Lauren); and his grandchildren, Krystin Ferenz, Danielle Ferenz, Alexander Mercaldi, Brooke Mercaldi, Dylan Mercaldi, Max Shemancik and Cam Shemancik. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
