We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2023, at the age of 95, Lura Elaine Smith of Southbury, Connecticut, born in Maplewood, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Bruce Hallett and Clara Hallett; her siblings, Janice Weisblat and Bruce Hallett; and her husband David M. Smith.
She is survived by: her children, David (Mardi), Deborah, Patricia (Ken), Scott (Lydia), Jennifer (Mark) and Bruce (Kate); her grandchildren, Kyra, Brandon, Tim, Kate, Sam, Adam, Grace, Theresa, Melissa, Michael, Murphy, Emerson and Owen; her great grandchildren, Evan, Isaac, Malia, Elijah and Lennox; and her pet Ellie Belly.
Lura asks that in lieu of flowers, friends and loved ones make a gift to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the American Cancer Society.
