He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Edward and Julia Barna (Hrapsky); his siblings, Margaret (Margie), Helen, Priscilla (Pearl), Grace, Jolan (Jennie), Zoltan (Larry) and Stephen (Pete); and his grandson Kyle Barna.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Barna (Donlon); his children, Laurie Gracy, John Barna (Patricia Oliveira) and Donna DeCapite (Duane); his grandchildren, Sean Barna (Sam Droney), Alicia Campos (Fabian), Andrea Gracy (Alex Kelly), Nicolas DeCapite and Annabella DeCapite; his great grandchild Emerson; and his children-in-law, Bruce Gracy and Elaine Barna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
