He was predeceased by: his parents, Zenas Dee Cook and Ruth Cook (Warringer); his stepmothers, Wanda Cook and Marie McPhee; and his brother John House.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Cook (Madigan); his daughters, Julie Cook of New Fairfield, CT, Allison Cook of Greenville, SC and Jill Cook (Nathaniel Stenabaugh) of Oxford, CT; his siblings, Meredith Ferraro (Robert) of Fairfield, CT, Molly Cook (Michael Kolsun) of Island Pond, VT and Jeffrey House (Kathy) of West Chester, PA; and his granddaughter Brynn Stenabaugh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (http://www.nationalmssociety.org) or to the American Legion.
