He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jean Smith Hummel; his parents, Clarence G. Hummel and Eleanor Kibbe Hummel; his son Matthew (Beth) of Glastonbury; his grandchildren, Hannah and Maxwell; his daughter Linda (George Brouwer) of Warren; his grandchildren, Christopher and Heather; his daughter Jennifer (John Rannestad) of Chester; his grandsons, Eric and Austin; and his brother John K. Hummel of Seymour.
