It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer Bennett Jr. of Southbury, Connecticut, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Sr. Bennett and Edith Bennett (Roulston); his significant other Margaret "Peg" Tester; his wife Doris Bennett (George); and his siblings, Arline Hansen (Bennett), Donald and David Bennett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joan Murphy (Bennett) of Southbury and Craig Bennett of Woodbury; his brother-in-law Robert Hansen of Stuart, FL; his sons, Jay Bennett (Zoey Loglisci) and Kevin Bennett (Alicia); his grandsons, Nathan Thomas Bennett and Luke Allen Bennett of Southbury; and also, Kim Tester (Brian Duda) of Roxbury, Kathy Luria of Woodbury, Jason and James Tester (April) of Wellington.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Homers memory may be made to the White Oak Cemetery c/o Benjamin Stiles, 1127 Main St. North in Southbury, to assist in upkeep; or to the United Church of Christ, 283 Main St. North in Southbury, CT.
