Gary William Traister Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary William Traister of Southbury, Connecticut, who passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Larry (Barbara) and John Traister (Lyn); his sister-in-law Judith LeCount Sauer (Henry); his parents-in-law, Irmgard LeCount and Vernon LeCount Sr.; and his parents, Milo (Ruth Traister) and Gary.
He is survived by: his wife Heidi LeCount Traister; his children, Brian Traister of Seymour, Heather Traister Syombathy of Shelton and Kelley Traister (John Rais) of Philadelphia; his stepchildren, Kara Watson Wanzer (Jonathan) of Sandy Hook and Bryan Watson (Jessica) of Southbury; his siblings, Marilyn Hoebel (Bill) and Don Traister (Gail); his siblings-in-law, Sally LeCount Hoyt (Gregory) and Vernon LeCount Jr. (Helga); and his grandchildren, Ella Roe, Cole Wanzer, Chase, Taylor Syombathy, Quinn and Mae Watson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
